Ежегодно в мире пропадает немало автомобилей, но это не только из-за угонов. Каждый год тысячи автомобилей на планете остаются брошенными на парковке около аэропортов, на парковке возле торговых центров, около медицинских учреждений
и т. д. Но немало автомобилей забывают в очень неожиданных местах. Даже эксклюзивные и дорогие автомобили могут оказаться не в тех руках, а потому судьба их складывается далеко не самым лучшим образом.
Lockheed U-2 «Dragon Lady» — реактивный высотный разведывательный самолет, разработанный компанией Lockheed в 1950-хх.
Самолет был создан для выполнения наблюдательных полетов в любом регионе мира даже при условии активного противодействия ПВО. Основой его концепции является высотность полетов — более 70000 футов или 21 км, недостижимая для самолетов и артиллерии того времени. Самолет активно эксплуатировался силами ЦРУ и ВВС США до 1970-хх, а далее, ВВС США.
За весь приод экслпуатации U-2 принимал участие в, практически, всех военных операциях ВС США и спецвойск, а так же, проводил разведывательные миссии во всех регионах, включая СССР и КНР. В условиях гонки вооружений, силы ПВО, периодически, «догоняли» высотный разведчик и им удавалось его сбить. Наиболее известным таким случаем было сбитие U-2 с пилотом Фрэнсисом Гэри Пауэрсом в 1960 году. Однако, не смотря на все сложности и скандалы, U-2 продолжают службу до сих пор.

Finally, one video showing the entire build process from the cutting of the first tree to the laying of the last floor board — no food, no talking, no visitors, just carpentry, bushcraft, timber framing, blood, sweat and tears.
My end goal is to have an off grid, primitive wilderness homestead, where I can practice primitive technology, bushcraft and traditional skills in an effort to become as completely self reliant as possible in this day and age.
In late April, I cut the first balsam fir tree down on the property near Algonquin Park, Ontario, Canada. Next, from June until August, I collected all of the building materials and fabricated the cabin using saddle notches in the corners. I cleared the land in August, laid down gravel for a pad and began erecting the off grid log cabin. By September, the walls were done and I started on the roof framing in October.
In November, I burned the roof boards with shou sugi ban, an ancient Japanese technique for preserving wood. Against convention, I installed the roof in board and batten fashion, using my roofing background to come up with techniques to keep the cabin watertight.
Next, I moved inside where I installed a Vermont Castings wood stove on top of a limestone flagstone floor, which extended from the doorway to the center of the cabin underneath the fireplace.
For the rest of the floor, I framed it using 2x4 and 2x6 red pine boards and then installed 2x6x10 boards, which I burned using the same shou sugi ban technique.
Now in December, I chinked the walls with moss and clay and have been spending a lot of time in the cabin, starting rustic furniture made with materials from the surrounding forest.

60-я параллель, междуречье Оби и Енисея — глухая и почти первобытная тайга.
Мне посчастливилось побывать в самых удаленных, мало или почти не посещаемых людьми местах, подолгу жить в глухой тайге, добывать птицу и зверя. Наряду с этим не меньшее впечатление оставили и встречи с простыми людьми — охотниками и рыбаками, для которых таежный промысел такая же неотъемлемая часть бытия, как и сама жизнь, большей частью лишенная привычных благ цивилизации. Съемка из-за дороговизны и больших габаритов хорошей аппаратуры в те годы почти не велась, чаще это были короткие сюжеты, сделанные любительской камерой.
Главное действующее лицо — молодой городской охотник Илья с подружейной собакой, оказавшийся в совершенно иных, непривычных для абсолютного большинства людей условиях.
